What the Shedding of Christ Blood did For You

Christ’s redemption work is very valuable, and understanding your inheritance in it as a Christian is very important in order for you to know what are freely given to you. Let’s therefore see what the shed blood of Christ accomplish for us.

Christ shed his blood on three different occasions:

1. He shed his blood when the crown of thorn was placed on his head (Jn 19:2). What this represent is our redemption from curse. The thorn is a symbol of curse. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, the ground was cursed to produce thorns and thistles (Gen3:17-18). The shed of Christ’s blood by the wearing of his bitter crown of thorns was for your deliverance from curse.

2. He shed his blood when he was whipped with many stripes (Jn 19:1). The blood was shed here to settle issues of your health and wholeness.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

3. He shed his blood on the cross of Calvary when the soldier pierced a spear into his side after he had died, gushing out blood and water (Jn19:34). Here the blood was for your redemption from sin and death, for Christ died to sin (Rom 6:10), and through death destroyed he who had the power of death that is the devil.

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Hebrews 2:14

Now it is yours to walk free from all oppressions of the devil through the power of the precious blood of Jesus Christ, so go ahead and plead the blood in faith.
